Each year Jacksonville Jaguars' staff members actively participate in fundraising efforts for the United Way. To express their appreciation, The United Way held a special ceremony to honor the Jaguars for their tremendous giving. The money raised last year helped to change the lives of more than 353,000 individuals in Northeast Florida who received help from United Way-funded programs and services.
Wayne and Delores Weaver accepted two awards on the Jaguars behalf: A Merit Award, for achieving a 15% increase in giving and a Silver Leadership Award, for being one of Northeast Florida's leaders in giving. The entire Jaguars family, including owners, players, and staff are extremely involved in the efforts of the United Way and look forward to another successful year of giving back to the community. It was truly an occasion to celebrate!
