JACKSONVILLE – A year ago, he was one of the NFL's top unrestricted free agents.

Now, A.J. Bouye is one of the league's top defensive backs – and he continues to be honored as such.

Bouye, Jacksonville's sixth-year cornerback, on Monday became the latest Jaguars player named to the NFL Top 100 Players of 2018 by NFL Network. Bouye was No. 35 on the list, an announcement made Monday night when the network unveiled Selections No. 31-40.

Bouye, who signed with the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent from the Houston Texans last offseason, led the team with six interceptions last season – and he also led the team with 18 passes defensed in 2017.

He was named to his first Pro Bowl and was also an Associated Press second-team All-Pro selection.

Bouye became the fourth Jaguars player named to the 2018 Top 100. Running back Leonard Fournette was named to the list at No. 58, linebacker Telvin Smith was named at No. 67 and defensive end Yannick Ngakoue was named at No. 88.
