JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to terms with the New Orleans Saints to trade OL Luke Fortner in exchange for DT Khalen Saunders, pending physicals, the team announced today. Saunders was drafted in the third round (84th overall) by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019. His career totals include 181 tackles (82 solo), 17 quarterback hits, seven tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, six passes defensed and an interception in 68 regular-season games played (32 starts) for Kansas City (2019-22) and New Orleans (2023-24). Saunders was a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs (LIV and LVII), appearing in six postseason contests and producing eight tackles (six solo), 1.0 sack, one quarterback hit and one tackle for loss. The St. Louis, Mo., native played collegiately at Western Illinois from 2014-18. He appeared in 46 games and registered 203 tackles (120 solo), 17.5 sacks, six passes defensed, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
