JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have acquired QB Quinn Ewers from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a sixth-round selection in the 2028 NFL Draft, pending a physical, the team announced today.
Ewers, 23, was originally drafted by Miami in the seventh round (231st overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft. He played in four games last season making three starts and completed 55-of-83 passes (66.3%) for 622 yards and three touchdowns.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Ewers played collegiately at Texas (2022-24) and Ohio State (2021). Ewers completed 737-of-1,135 passes for 9,128 yards and 68 touchdowns in college. He led the Longhorns to College Football Playoff appearances in two of his three seasons with the team.
