In and out: Allen Active, Jones Inactive

W3-INACTIVES-SEPT-29

JACKSONVILLE – Jaguars outside linebacker Josh Allen as expected will play Sunday.

Wide receiver Zay Jones, also as expected, will not.

Allen, listed as questionable with a shoulder injury on the final injury report of the week Friday, was not among the Jaguars' five inactive players announced 90 minutes before kickoff of their 2023 Week 3 game against the Houston Texans at EverBank Stadium Sunday. Defensive tackle Foley Fatukasi and safety Andrew Wingard, also listed as questionable Friday with shoulder injuries, also are active Sunday.

Jones – a starter in 17 of 18 games since joining the Jaguars – sustained a knee injury in a Week 2 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and was ruled out Friday along with rookie safety Antonio Johnson (hamstring), the latter of whom also was inactive in Weeks 1 and 2.

The Jaguars' five inactive players Sunday:

  • Wide Receiver Zay Jones
  • Safety Antonio Johnson
  • Wide receiver Elijah Cooks
  • Wide receiver Parker Washington
  • Running back JaMycal Hasty

The Jaguars elevated veteran wide receiver Jacob Harris from the practice squad Saturday via standard elevation.
