Jaguars defensive end Tony Brackens had his appendix removed on Sunday in Tyler, Texas. There were no complications and he is expected to make a full recovery. He will undergo follow-up testing to determine his return to full unlimited activity. Brackens has been progressing with his rehabilitation from microfracture surgery performed last fall. A seven-year veteran and second-round draft choice in 1996, he is the Jaguars' all-time sack leader.
