Brad Meester Named Recipient of Morgan Stanley Community Leader Award

Jaguars offensive guard Brad Meester, 24, has been named the November recipient of the Jacksonville Jaguars - Morgan Stanley Community Leader Award, presented monthly during the NFL season to the Jaguars player that demonstrates exemplary community involvement.

In partnership with Morgan Stanley, a $500 donation will be made on his behalf to a designated local charity. Four players will be named monthly winners during the 2001 season. The program will conclude in December with a year-end luncheon at ALLTEL Stadium when an additional $3,000 charity donation will be made to the player selected as the 2001 Community Leader of the Year. The October honoree was safety Donovin Darius.

Meester, a 2000 second-round draft choice who has started every game over two seasons, has been a quiet yet steady contributor in the Jacksonville community. He supports Playbooks, the reading initiative of the Jaguars Foundation, gives motivational talks at local high schools and actively attends numerous team charity events as well as the fundraising efforts of his teammates.
