Cool Catmobile is back

Today the Jacksonville Jaguars once again hit the streets with the team's Cool Catmobile ice cream truck. The Cool Catmobile will tour Jacksonville distributing the new Schwan's "Jag Crunch" ice cream to fans of all ages.

Decorated with various team images, the Cool Catmobile is designed to interact with fans throughout the Jacksonville community. Along with complimentary 4 oz. Schwan's "Jag Crunch" ice cream, the truck will distribute Jaguars giveaways, including temporary tattoos, stickers and 2006 schedule cards. "We are excited to return this season with our fan-friendly ice cream truck. The Cool Catmobile allows us the opportunity to get out into the community, thank fans for their loyal support, and make new friends," said Jennifer Perkins, Director of Marketing and Special Events. "We need to connect with fans of all ages and start celebrating the exciting season ahead. The Cool Catmobile and the new "Jag Crunch" ice cream help us with achieving our goal of putting as many smiles on people's faces as possible."

Several members of the community have been selected to drive the Cool Catmobile, and have received extensive safety training. Drivers will be paired off in two-person teams, and will accompany the Cool Catmobile out into the community most days between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Events have been scheduled throughout the city, including visits to local media outlets, parks, summer camps, malls, schools, the beaches, community businesses, fairs and festivals. In addition to attending special events, the truck will tour local neighborhoods. Appearances will continue through the 2006 football season.
