Auditions for The Roar, the Jaguars' 2001 cheerleading team, will take place Sunday at The Arts Triumphant Dance Conservatory located at 8121 Arlington Expressway. Preliminary auditions will begin at 8:00 a.m. A $15 processing fee will be required. Semifinal candidates will be announced at 11:30 a.m. and asked to return later that day for the semifinal auditions at approximately 1:00 p.m.

Over the next two weeks, finalists will go through an extensive interview process as well as attend two rehearsals prior to the final auditions, which will take place at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, April 1 at the Arts Triumphant Dance Conservatory.

The 2001 squad will be announced to the public and media on April 21 during the Jaguars Draft Day Fan Fest at ALLTEL Stadium.

Auditions are open to all women at least 18 years of age and who have received a high school diploma or its equivalent by June 2001. The Roar incorporates an up-tempo, dance-oriented style and will perform at all of the Jaguars' 2001 home games.
