Early arrival encouraged

With the Jaguars' first home preseason game this Saturday against the Carolina Panthers at 7:30 p.m. at Alltel Stadium, fans are encouraged to plan on arriving early to minimize delays in traffic and at stadium entry gates. Fans are reminded that, as in prior years, a modified security pat-down will be conducted at all entry gates at Jaguars home games. This will be a quick process, but all fans are strongly encouraged to make plans to arrive at the stadium early.

Most other security measures are no different than they have been for the Jaguars' last five seasons. Small purses will be allowed inside the stadium, including bags that are no larger than 12 inches by 12 inches by 12 inches. All objects and purses will be subject to visual and physical inspection prior to entry into the stadium. One change in prohibited items is that binocular cases and small camera cases will now be permitted inside the stadium. Prohibited items include the following:

  • Umbrellas
  • Laser pointers
  • Cameras with lens longer than six-inches
  • Strollers
  • Video equipment and tape recorders
  • Coolers or containers, including cans, cups and bottles
  • Noise makers, whistles or air horns
  • Knives, guns and any type of weapons or explosives
  • Seat cushions
  • Purses or bags larger than 12 X 12 X 12 inches
