• The Jaguars in 2026 will: Contend for the AFC South title with at least double-digit victories. The Jaguars are a good team entering the 2026 season, with the potential to win a second consecutive division title and contend for the Super Bowl. They haven't made back-to-back postseason appearances since 1998-1999. If they remain relatively healthy, the thought here is the offense will continue the ascension we saw in the second half of 2025 and the secondary will improve enough to make this team an AFC power.

I believe the Jaguars are due to win another AFC South title, which would be their first time doing so in back-to-back seasons since joining the division. The Houston Texans are going to be a tough out for the Jaguars and any other AFC team, but I think the Jaguars' roster and coaching staff is perfectly aligned enough to make it happen once again.

That's a bold statement considering there are a half dozen other teams that can reasonably expect the same thing, but there is something about this group that I like. They have a talented and deep coaching staff, a roster without a glaring weakness and plenty of possible answers to the questions that come up during a season. They also have a personnel department and football operations group that is innovative and vigilant, plus an owner who is willing to give them the resources they need to get the job done. Whether they're on the grass or in the lunchroom or walking down the hall, they know they're a good team, and they have that "something" that you can't quite point to. I think they're as good as any team in the AFC.
