• Offensive Most Valuable Player (and make a case for someone other than Trevor Lawrence if you like): Tight end Brenton Strange. It is the nature of his position that quarterback Trevor Lawrence is the easy projection for Jaguars Offensive Most Valuable Player, but if you're making a case for someone else, the thought here is that's Strange. He's critical to the Jaguars' offense both as a blocker and a receiver, and his toughness and physicality helps set the tone for this team enough that he's one of the keys to its identity. The Jaguars lost four regular-season games last season. Three of those losses came with Strange out with a hip injury. If Lawrence isn't the offensive MVP, it's Strange.

• Offensive Most Valuable Player (and make a case for someone other than Trevor Lawrence if you like): Lawrence. How he goes is how the Jaguars go. I have been very impressed by Lawrence's continued development and progress. He presents so many problems to the defense: Arm, size, running ability, decision-making. He demonstrated confidence, command and consistency this spring, and I believe this is his new normal. He is still ascending in his play.

• Offensive Most Valuable Player (and make a case for someone other than Trevor Lawrence if you like): I think it will be Lawrence. If not, keep an eye on wide receiver Parker Washington. It feels as if he is on the cusp of becoming a true NFL elite receiver.

• Offensive Most Valuable Player (and make a case for someone other than Trevor Lawrence if you like): Strange. I expect Strange to come in motivated and take another step forward. His physicality will be a huge asset in the run game – and before his injury, he was becoming Lawrence's security blanket last season. He has the strength to bully defenders to get open off the line of scrimmage and the versatility to become a red-zone weapon. Plus, he has been doing Pilates this offseason. I tried it once. Believe me when I say his mental toughness will be off the charts.

• Offensive Most Valuable Player (and make a case for someone other than Trevor Lawrence if you like): Wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. I think he is in a much better place now than anytime last season. I think he's motivated, plus he is bigger and stronger. I think he will impact games when he's the go-to receiver – and when he doesn't have the football in his hands, too. I think a big bounce-back year is in the works for BTJ.

Perhaps one of the receivers will make a case, but Strange is such a difference maker in both the run and pass game that it is hard not to pick him. With the addition of rookie tight end Nate Boerkircher to help in the trenches, Strange could be unlocked as a pass-catcher this year in a way he has only flashed before – all while helping the Jaguars improve their running game.

• Offensive Most Valuable Player (and make a case for someone other than Trevor Lawrence if you like): Lawrence will be the Jaguars' Offensive MVP and might even climb into consideration for the NFL MVP. His ability to get the Jaguars into the right play call late last season was outstanding, and he should only be better at the little details that great quarterbacks pay attention to. Coen is one of the game's elite play designers and play callers, and he'll make sure his quarterback is in the best possible position this fall.

His contributions blocking in the run game are vital to what they do, and he has the ability to be a mismatch down the field in the passing game. If he's working well, the Jaguars are working well.
