JACKSONVILLE – Gardner Minshew II is questionable.

So is Leonard Fournette, which means the early part of Sunday afternoon will include intrigue as the Jaguars' regular-season finale approaches.

Minshew, the Jaguars' rookie starting quarterback, and Fournette – their starting running back – were listed as "questionable" on the final game status report for the team's Week 17 game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Minshew practiced limited this week with a right shoulder issue.

"It's just overall soreness," Head Coach Doug Marrone said of Minshew as the Jaguars (5-10) prepared to play the Colts (7-8) at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville Sunday at 4:25 p.m.

"We're just trying to be precautionary and rest him, then see how he is on Sunday."

The Jaguars will declare seven players inactive Sunday an hour and a half before kickoff. If Minshew is one of those players, Marrone said Nick Foles – the starting quarterback in Week 1 and Weeks 11-13 – and reserve Josh Dobbs "are ready to go."

Fournette, who didn't miss a practice this season until Thursday and Friday of this week, was on the game status report this week with a neck injury. Four other players were listed as questionable entering the weekend: Tight end Nick O'Leary (shoulder), cornerback A.J. Bouye (wrist), linebacker Dakota Allen (hamstring) and wide receiver Dede Westbrook (neck/shoulder).

Rookie wide receiver Michael Walker was ruled out with a hamstring injury Friday after not practicing this week.

"There are some opportunities out there with some of these guys being out," Marrone said. "Some of these guys who we haven't seen – like [cornerbacks] Parry Nickerson or Brandon Watson – obviously could see some time on the outside with A.J. questionable. With Leonard questionable, we have [rookie running back Ryquell] Armstead and [rookie running back Devine] Ozigbo."

Marrone also said a roster move on Saturday was possible.

Eight other players who practiced with injuries this week were removed from the game status report Friday and are expected to play: wide receiver DJ Chark Jr. (ankle), cornerback D.J. Hayden (knee), defensive end Josh Allen (shoulder), center Brandon Linder (knee), left tackle Cam Robinson (knee), defensive tackle Taven Bryan (wrist), defensive end Calais Campbell (back/shoulder) and defensive tackle Abry Jones (elbow).
