Hanson voted to Pro Bowl

Jaguars punter Chris Hanson was named to the AFC Pro Bowl squad today and will represent the team in the game to be played on February 2 in Honolulu. Hanson is the only Jaguar named to this year's Pro Bowl team. He becomes the second Jaguars punter to be voted to the Pro Bowl, joining Bryan Barker (1997) and the team's third kicker, joining Mike Hollis (also 1997).

Through 14 games this season, Hanson leads the AFC in both gross punting (44.7-yard average) and net punting (37.9). He has a chance to break Barker's single-season records in both categories and is seven kicks shy of Barker's record for kicks inside the 20, with 25 through 14 games. The complete AFC and NFC Pro Bowl squads will be announced tonight at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN's "NFL Pro Bowl Selection Show."
