In and out: Fournette, Hayden and Herndon inactive

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Jaguars news was as expected Sunday morning.

Running back Leonard Fournette, ruled out by Head Coach Doug Marrone early in the week, was the lone Jaguars starter announced as a game-day inactive an hour and half before their game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium Sunday at 1 p.m.

Fournette will miss a third game in four weeks with a hamstring injury. Nickel cornerback D.J. Hayden, also ruled out early in the week, will miss a third consecutive game with a toe injury.

Rookie cornerback Tre Herndon (hamstring) also officially was ruled out Sunday morning. Rookie cornerback Quenton Meeks was signed from the practice squad Saturday, with the team releasing fourth-year wide receiver Rashad Greene Sr.

T.J. Yeldon will start for Fournette, with Tyler Patmon again playing Hayden's nickel corner role.

Other Jaguars inactives Sunday:

*Defensive end Dawuane Smoot, nose tackle Eli Ankou, guard Chris Reed and offensive tackle Will Richardson Jr.
