JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (2-3)
vs. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (0-5) Sunday, October 6, 1996, 1:00 EDT THIS WEEK: The Jacksonville Jaguars - coming off a convincing victory over expansion-rival Carolina - seek to reach a .500 record when they travel to New Orleans to play the New Orleans Saints at 4:00 EDT (3:00 CDT) Sunday in the Louisiana Superdome. The game is the Jaguars' first of three road games in the month of October and the start of a two-month stretch in which they play five of their seven games on the road. It is also the fourth of six straight games outside of their division. They do not face a division foe again until October 27, when they will begin a six-game stretch against AFC Central teams. Sunday's game also marks the first time in which the Jaguars will have had two victories more than their opponent going into a game. In their win over Carolina, the Jaguars won their first game ever against a non-AFC Central opponent and improved their record against NFC teams to 1-4.

The Jets are 0-5 this season, having lost to Denver, Indianapolis, Miami, Washington and Oakland.
