The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed second-year safety Michael Hamlin to the active roster from the practice squad and waived offensive tackle Adam Terry.  The team also added rookie defensive back Chris Chancellor to the practice squad.

Hamlin, 6-2, 213, was originally a fifth-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2009 and was released on October 13 after playing in the opening two games for the Cowboys. He played in six games as a rookie and finished with one special teams tackle.  He led the team with three special teams tackles against Philadelphia in a NFC Wild Card game. Hamlin, who will wear jersey number 25, was signed to the Jaguars practice squad on Oct. 15 where he spent the past six weeks.

A native of Lamar, S.C., Hamlin played four seasons at Clemson where he finished with 32 tackles, 22 passes defensed and 14 interceptions.  As a senior, he ranked eighth in the nation with a career-high six interceptions.   

Chancellor, 5-9, 180, was signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted rookie in 2010 and was waived during final cuts.  The Miami native played in 53 games with 44 starts for Clemson from 2006-09.  He totaled 168 tackles, nine interceptions and 41 passes defensed.  He attended Edison High School in Miami where he set the school record with 24 career interceptions.
