The Jaguars today activated defensive back Chad Nkang off the Physically Unable to Perform list and waived rookie cornerback Isaiah Gardner, who was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of Maryland.

Nkang, a 5-11, 197-pounder, missed all of the preseason and spent the first seven weeks on the PUP list with a wrist injury. The seventh round draft pick out of Elon in 2007 led the team last season with a record 30 special teams tackles while playing in all 16 games.
