Jaguars and Cox radio renew contract

WOKV AND WKQL TO BROADCAST ALL JAGUARS GAMES

The Jacksonville Jaguars and Cox Radio have agreed to renewal terms for the radio broadcast rights of official Jaguars broadcasting, including all Jaguars games, the pre- and postgame shows, and three weekly shows: "The Jack Del Rio Show," "Jaguars Reporters" and "Jaguars This Week."

The three-year contract will run through the 2006 season. WOKV will continue to be the flagship station of the Jaguars Radio Network and WKQL Cool 96.9 FM will continue as the FM home of the Jaguars.

"We have enjoyed an outstanding partnership with this radio group for nine years, and we're pleased to continue that relationship into the future," said Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver. "We found a very good home for our radio programming, which benefits our fans and loyal listeners, and together we'll continue to provide the best in radio programs and coverage. Our working relationship with COX is a model for how good partnerships grow, to the mutual benefit of both partners and our customers."

"COX Radio is proud to have been the first and only radio broadcast voice of our Jacksonville Jaguars," said Dick Williams, vice president and general manager for Cox Radio Jacksonville. "We are extremely excited to have WKQL 96.9 and WOKV 690 AM continue our Jaguars partnership into the new Jack Del Rio era."
