Jaguars break camp

The Jacksonville Jaguars completed a morning practice session on the practice fields at ALLTEL Stadium and officially ended training camp. The Jaguars made one roster move today, waiving undrafted rookie defensive tackle Linnis Smith.

"I know this group is ready to break camp. I definitely feel like it's time to be out of double days. We ran all the drills we had scripted to run. All the situational periods we wanted to make sure we got covered in training camp, we've covered. So we're right on track in terms of how we scheduled and how we scripted," said head coach Jack Del Rio. "I think this team is a team that has been worked hard for the last three weeks, so I think it's time to now focus on getting into one-a-day mode and getting into preparing for the season."

Smith, 22, was an undrafted rookie signed by the Jaguars on April 25 out of Texas A&M. The 6-4, 299-pound defensive tackle lettered four seasons for the Aggies but did not play in either of the Jaguars' first two preseason games.

The Jaguars, who now have 84 players on the roster, will host the Green Bay Packers on Friday, August 27 at ALLTEL Stadium at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are now available. Fans can call 1-877-4-JAGS-TIX or (904) 633-2000 or buy tickets online at www.jaguars.com
