Jaguars Break Camp

The Jacksonville Jaguars broke training camp today following their afternoon session at the practice fields at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. The Jaguars will head into a regular one-a-day practice routine through the rest of the preseason. Thursday's practice session has been moved to 11:00 a.m.

"Training camp officially breaks today," said head coach Jack Del Rio. "No more night practices, no more two-a-days. We now get into the one-a-day mode and continue preparation for the season. I think it's been a very productive training camp. I think each day the guys have showed up really eager to work and committed to being better. So a good start, a good start to our season."

The Jaguars conducted their final training camp practice today with the temperature close to 100 degrees. Del Rio spoke on how well his team has worked and how relatively healthy they are as camp ended.

"We have a few guys banged up. We rested a few today and unfortunately we lost Stockar McDougle to an Achilles (injury) and so we know he's going to be gone," said Del Rio. "We're doing the best we can to keep guys healthy and to get guys healthy going forward and at the same time being smart in terms of the situations we're putting them in. We got good news in that we think we're going to get Scotty Starks back for this weekend."

The Jaguars will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday, August 18 in the team's preseason home opener at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised live in Jacksonville on WTEV CBS 47, and on the Jaguars Radio Network on WOKV AM/FM (690, 106.5).

Paul Burmeister will handle the play by play and Tony Boselli will serve as the color analyst for the telecast. For the fifth straight season together, Brian Sexton and Jeff Lageman will call the game on the Jaguars Radio Network.

The Suddath Pregame Show will begin at 6:30 p.m. on WOKV AM/FM (690, 106.5) and the Jaguars Radio Network. The Coggin Pregame Show, hosted by Dennis Evans and Brian Sexton, will air at 7:00 p.m. on WTEV CBS 47.
