JAGUARS CONTINUE TWO-A-DAYS; SIGN OFFENSIVE LINEMAN BAILEY

The Jacksonville Jaguars held two more full practices today on the Ferrell Practice Fields.

³Our concentration wavered in and out, but both sides of the ball got some things done,² said head coach Tom Coughlin. ³We had a really good 9 on 7 drill, and a little work in the red area.²

With training camp practices beginning to lead into a four-game schedule of preseason games, Coughlin said, ³You try to stay on schedule and pick what you¹ll use from what you have installed.²

Rookie offensive tackle Jason Dukes continued to miss practice with a sprained left ankle. He was the only player out with an injury during the morning practice. In the afternoon, defensive tackle Mike Thompson suffered a contusion of his left shoulder, and defensive end Jeff Lageman had a mild hyperextension of his left knee. The status of both players will be updated on Wednesday.

The Jaguars will practice again at 8:40 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday. They have a walk-through scheduled for Thursday, the day before they host the New York Giants in the season opener for both teams. There is no availability for the media on Thursday.

The Jaguars today signed offensive lineman James Bailey, a 6-5, 280-pound rookie from James Madison. A four-year letterman, Bailey becomes the 15th offensive lineman and 82nd player on the roster. He was a college teammate of Jaguars rookie cornerback Kelly Wiltshire.
