JACKSONVILLE – Trevor Lawrence is improving rapidly and dramatically.

Now, he's the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week.

Lawrence, the Jaguars' second-year quarterback, received the honor Wednesday morning for his performance in a 38-10 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., this past Sunday. It was Lawrence's second consecutive efficient performance and the Jaguars' second consecutive one-sided victory.

Lawrence, the No. 1 overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, completed 28 of 39 passes for 262 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions against the Chargers. He completed 25 of 30 passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions in a 24-0 victory over the Indianapolis Colts the previous week.

The Jaguars' 38 points were the most of any NFL team in Week 3, and Lawrence's 115.5 passer rating was the AFC's best that week. He was not sacked and threw touchdown passes to three different players: Wide receivers Zay Jones, Christian Kirk and Marvin Jones Jr.

Lawrence's six-one touchdown-interception differential this season is second in the NFL and he has thrown at least one touchdown pass in a career-high five consecutive games.
