The Jacksonville Jaguars today waived WR Chad Askew from their practice squad and replaced him with DB Ricky Parker.
Askew was signed as a first-year free agent last February 12, then waived on August 19 in the cut to 60 before being re-signed to the practice squad.
Parker was a sixth-round draft choice of the Chicago Bears this year who was waived on August 19. A 6-2, 205 pound safety from San Diego State, he was the only player in school history to earn first-team ALL-WAC honors three consecutive years. He ranks first in school history with 355 interception return yards and fourth with 25 passes defended. Parker is a native of Sacramento, Calif.
