JAGUARS' MALCOLM THOMAS CONTINUES TO LEAD NFL EUROPE LEAGUE IN RUSHING

Jaguars running back Malcolm Thomas started and rushed for 63 yards on 19 carries in the Amsterdam Admirals' 16-7 victory over the England Monarchs. Thomas, a graduate of Jacksonville's Paxon High School, also caught two passes for eight yards.

Thomas, who spent the 1997 NFL season on the Jaguars' practice squad, still leads the NFL Europe League with 558 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 114 carries (4.9-yard average). He also has 14 receptions for 124 yards and one receiving TD in six games, and he is second in the league with 24 points.

Safety Ricky Parker - the other of two Jaguars players allocated by the team to the NFL Europe League - also started and made two sacks in the game.

The action occurred in the sixth week of NFL Europe play. The Admirals have a 4-2 record and are in second place in the league.
