JAGUARS' MALCOLM THOMAS RUSHES FOR 136 YARDS IN NFL EUROPE LEAGUE

Jaguars running back Malcolm Thomas started and rushed for a league-weekend-high 136 yards on 20 carries in leading the Amsterdam Admirals to a 25-24 victory over the England Monarchs. Thomas, a graduate of Jacksonville's Paxon High School, also caught three passes for 18 yards.

Thomas, who spent the 1997 NFL season on the Jaguars' practice squad, leads the NFL Europe League with 495 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 95 carries (5.2-yard average). He also has 12 receptions for 116 yards and one receiving TD in five games.

Safety Ricky Parker - the other of two Jaguars players allocated by the team to the NFL Europe League - also started and recorded four tackles, two assists and one deflected pass in the game. He ranks third on the Admirals with 24 tackles (20 solo).

The action occurred in the fifth week of NFL Europe play. The Admirals have a 3-2 record and are tied for second place in the league.
