Jaguars Name Practice Squad

The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed three players to their practice squad and agreed to terms with two others.

Signing practice squad contracts were TE Rod Monroe, LB Erik Storz and WR Emanuel Smith, all of whom had been waived yesterday in the final cuts to a 53-man roster.

Agreeing to terms were two offensive tackles who were undrafted rookies: Gannon Shepherd and John Blick. Shepherd spent training camp with the Chicago Bears. He was a defensive tackle at Duke and was converted to the offensive line by the Bears. Blick, who was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the preseason, was a four-year starter at Penn State and an All-Big Ten selection as a senior.

The final player who was waived on Sunday in the final cuts was FB Kenneth Williams, an undrafted rookie from Florida A&M.
