The Jacksonville Jaguars opened their 1996 minicamp with every player in attendance. The three-day mini-camp will continue through Sunday, with two practices on Saturday and the final one on Sunday morning.
Two players on the Jaguars' roster are not at the minicamp because they are currently playing in the World League ‹ linebacker Bernard Carter (Frankfurt Galaxy) and safety Darren Studstill (London Monarchs).
This afternoon, the Jaguars today released linebacker Gene Smith, a rookie free agent from Fresno State, leaving the roster at 83 players.
