The Jacksonville Jaguars placed five players on the Physically Unable to Perform List today. The players include wide receiver Jerry Porter (hamstring), defensive back Chad Nkang (wrist), tight end George Wrighster (knee), defensive end Jeremy Mincey (wrist) and wide receiver Reggie Williams (knee). The five players will not be available to participate in practice when training camp begins today, but they may be removed from PUP and placed on the active roster at any time.
A total of 80 players reported yesterday for the start of training camp, with only top draft choice Derrick Harvey absent. Harvey is the only unsigned player on the 81-man roster, and he will not count toward the 80-player limit until he signs a contract.
The Jaguars will begin training camp today with two practices at 10:15 a.m. (shorts) and 7:00 p.m.(shorts) at the practice fields adjacent to Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.
