The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed safety Carnell Lake and rookie offensive tackle Joe Chustz on injured reserve. Both players will be out for the entire season.
Lake will undergo surgery on Monday to repair a stress fracture in his left foot. He practiced for almost two weeks during training camp but did not play in either of the first two preseason games. This will be the first time in his 12-year career that he will miss an entire season.
Chustz has been bothered by back spasms and has been unable to practice during training camp or play in either of the first two preseason games. He was a fourth-round draft choice out of Louisiana Tech.
