The Jacksonville Jaguars today placed linebacker Erik Storz on
injured reserve with a knee injury and signed LB Corey Terry off
the Pittsburgh Steelers' practice squad.
Storz, 24, suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee
in the third quarter of last Sunday's victory at Cincinnati. He had
played in all seven games this season, making four tackles on
special teams and tying for the team lead with 44 special teams
blocks. Storz was a first-year linebacker from Boston College who
played in the final game of last season and both playoff contests.
Terry, 23, spent the first eight weeks of this season on the Steelers'
practice squad. He was a seventh-round draft choice of the
Indianapolis Colts in the 1999 draft, but he was waived on August
31 and signed by Pittsburgh a week later. The 6-3, 258-pound Terry
was a two-year starter and three-year letterman at defensive end at
the University of Tennessee after transferring from Garden City
(Kan.) Community College. He is a native of Warrenton, N.C.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Terry will wear jersey No. 57.
