Jaguars Players Bowl to Strike Out Hunger

The Clara White Mission is pleased to announce that our volunteer and Jaguars player, Scott Starks, will host the annual Scott Starks "Stars & Strikes Celebrity Charity Bowling" to benefit the Clara White Mission, Inc. This event is scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Jax Lane Bowling Center, 8720 Beach Blvd. from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We are inviting the community to join Scott and his friends including Rashean Mathis, Maurice Williams, Reggie Nelson, Gerald Sensabaugh and many more in helping to continue the services and tradition of Clara White Mission.

The costs are $250 per team for 4 adults, $50 per individual adult and $20 for youth under 16 of age. This is an "8 Pin No tap" charity bowl. No experience necessary, just the willingness to have fun. The "Stars & Strikes Celebrity Charity Bowling" will include two hours of bowling, food, door prizes, music and a silent auction, trophies and awards.

"This event is an opportunity for me to help and give back with a hands-on approach. My life is not just about me but to be a blessing to others," said Starks, a cornerback for the Jaguars.

The "Stars & Strikes Celebrity Charity Bowling" will raise funds for the homeless and low-income to benefit the Clara White Mission, Inc. The community impact is designed to improve the lives of those that are homeless and hungry by rebuilding and restoring lives through nutritious meals, education and job training programs located at the Clara White Mission, Inc.

For over 103 years, Clara White Mission has offered a unique combination of services and history to the community in a cost-effective approach, while addressing the urgent and critical demands for low-income and homeless families with remarkable results.

Together with your gift and support, we can continue the legacy of providing food for today and skills for life. For more information and how to participate call (904) 354-4162 or visit our website at
