Jaguars Re-Sign Cornerback Tre Herndon

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars have re-signed third-year CB Tre Herndon, the club announced today.

Herndon, 5-11, 185, has appeared in 43 games and made 26 starts in his three-year career in Jacksonville. He was the only undrafted rookie to make the opening day roster in 2018 and played in all 16 games in both 2019 and 2020. The Vanderbilt product played in 16 games (12 starts) and recorded a career-high 76 tackles in the 2020 season. He started 14 of 16 games in 2019 and registered 54 tackles, 13 passes defensed and three INTs.

A Chatanooga, Tenn. native, Herndon appeared in 48 career games (36 starts) at Vanderbilt and totaled 126 tackles, 25 passes defensed and two INTs. In 2020, Herndon and his girlfriend, Treyleanna, donated 10,000 meals to Feeding Northeast Florida to support families facing food insecurity during the pandemic.
