JAGUARS RE-SIGN ERIC CURRY

The Jaguars have re-signed defensive end Eric Curry, who played

in 11 games for the Jaguars in 1998. Length and terms of the

contract are undisclosed.

Curry, 29, was signed by the Jaguars last September 9 when Jeff

Lageman was placed on injured reserve. He had 15 tackles in 11

games for the Jaguars and has played in 70 career games with 44

starts. He also has 12 career sacks in his six NFL seasons. He was

selected in the first round (sixth overall) of the 1993 draft by Tampa

Bay.

Also, the Jaguars released cornerback Heron O'Neal, who was a

member of the practice squad for several weeks in 1998 after being

signed as an undrafted free agent.

The Jaguars' current roster stands at 63 players.
