The Jacksonville Jaguars today re-signed wide receivers Willie Jackson and Curtis Marsh, linebacker Brant Boyer and safety Darren Studstill. All four players will be entering their third season with the team.
Jackson, 25, has scored eight touchdowns in two seasons, third on the team's all-time list. He was the Jaguars' leading receiver in 1995. In two seasons, he has started 12 games and has 86 receptions for 1,075 yards. Jackson joined the Jaguars in the 1995 expansion draft.
Marsh, 26, played in one game and was inactive for the 15 others in 1996. He saw action in the final nine games of the '95 season, making seven catches for 127 yards. Marsh was the Jaguars' seventh-round draft choice in 1995.
Boyer played mostly in short-yardage and goal line situations in 1996, seeing action in 12 games after replacing Bryan Schwartz on the roster. A four-year pro, he made seven tackles on defense and led the club with 16 special team stops. Boyer was obtained by the Jaguars in the '95 expansion draft.
Studstill, 26, played in seven games and was inactive for nine games last season. He played primarily on special teams, making six tackles. The third-year pro out of West Virginia played in the World League i n 1996.
