JAGUARS RE-SIGN S DARREN STUDSTILL

The Jacksonville Jaguars today re-signed S Darren Studstill, who spent the second half of the 1995 season with the team. Studstill will play in the World League this spring before reporting to the Jaguars in July.

Carter, 24, was first signed by the Jaguars on October 11, replacing Reggie Clark, who was placed on injured reserve. A sixth-round draft choice of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1994 and the brother of former Florida Gators star Kevin Carter, he played in five games for the Jaguars, making eight tackles on defense and six on special teams.

Carter is the second member of the 1995 team to renew his contract. On December 26, DE Ernie Logan signed a new contract. The Jaguars have 67 players on their roster.
