The Jacksonville Jaguars released fourth-year linebacker Marquis Cooper today and activated defensive tackle Marcus Stroud to the 53-man roster. Cooper had been signed by the Jaguars on Nov. 27 and played in last Sunday's game at Indianapolis. He recorded one special teams tackle. Stroud had a roster exemption this week after serving a four-game suspension.
