The Jacksonville Jaguars released defensive end Bronzell Miller today. Miller, 24, played in three of the last four games in 1995 after signing as a free agent. He made two tackles and one QB pressure, seeing his most extensive action December 17 at Detroit. He was signed November 28 from the St. Louis Rams' practice squad. Miller was a seventh-round draft choice of the Rams last year.
The 10 free agent rookies who agreed to contract terms earlier this week each signed a contract with the Jaguars last night. Those players are quarterback Steve Taneyhill, offensive linemen Jason Dukes, Omari Mangrum and Patrick Walsh; running back Chris Parker; linebackers Gene Smith and Cedric Thornton; and defensive backs Rashid Gayle, Thomas Geter and Kelly Wiltshire.
The Jaguars now have 84 players on their roster. The team is holding its official mini-camp this weekend.
