The Jacksonville Jaguars have released defensive tackle Emarlos Leroy and tight end Nick Franklin and signed defensive end Brent Johnson. The team's roster stands at 90 players.
Leroy played for the Jaguars the last two seasons after having been chosen in the sixth round of the 1999 draft out of Georgia. He played in 23 games with one start, making 21 tackles and forcing one fumble. Franklin was an undrafted rookie out of Florida State who was signed on April 24 and participated in last month's minicamp. Johnson, 24, is a 6-2, 262-pound undrafted rookie out of Ohio State.
