Jaguars cornerback Vinnie Clark was released by the team today. Clark, 27, had started all 20 games since joining the Jaguarsas an unrestrited free agent in 1995. In four games this season, Clark made 16 tackles and one interception. He is in his sixth NFL season out of Ohio State after spending his first four years with the Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints. Clark has played in 83 NFL games, starting in 59. He has 13 career interceptions including two with the Jaguars the past two seasons.
Linebacker Bryan Schwartz underwent an MRI (magnetic resonanace imaging) exam today on his sprained left knee. Results of the exam will be available on Tuesday. Schwartz suffered the injury in the second quarter of Sunday's game against teh New England Patriots.
