Due to high demand for tickets for their home finale this Sunday against the New England Patriots, the Jaguars are removing additional tarps for the game. The tarps covering section 442 will be removed and the limited number of tickets for that section are now available.

"Fan support for the Jaguars has been extraordinary all season, so it's no surprise that for the third time in 2012 we're again opening additional seating sections to accommodate the demand for tickets," said Jaguars president Mark Lamping.

"From the preseason to our final home game this Sunday, without fail, our fans have been simply outstanding," Lamping added. "Our entire organization is extremely grateful and ready to give it our very best on and off the field this Sunday vs. the Patriots."

The team previously removed the tarps from section 404 for the December 9 game, and has already sold most of the tickets in that section for this week's game as well. On Oct. 7 the tarps were taken off section 403.

Tickets are now available for $35 each. Kickoff for the game against the Patriots is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Fans may purchase the available tickets in one of three ways:

  1. Go to the Jaguars ticket office on the west side of EverBank Field between 9 am and 5 pm Monday thru Friday.
  2. Go to www.jaguars.com – 24 hours a day
  3. Call the Jaguars ticket office at  904-633-2000or 1-877-4-JAGS-TIX

ATTENTION MEDIA: The tarps covering section 442 are scheduled to be removed on Thursday, Dec. 20. Media interested in a photo op can shoot the removal, which should begin around 8 a.m.
