Tell us about yourself and your connection to Jacksonville/the Jaguars:
I was raised by an Eagles fan in south Florida. Never connected with the Dolphins. When I moved to Jacksonville in 2013 to attend UNF I connected with the city and the team. Even though I cheer and boo like an Eagles fan, I can confidently say I bleed teal.
Do you have any gameday rituals?
Every game day I like to host a tailgate for my friends inside the tailgaters lot. I cook something fresh every game, play some slap cup and get everyone's energy pumping before we walk to the stadium.
What's your favorite part of gameday?
Tailgating and cooking for my friends and family. Then cheering on the Jags when I get to the stadium.
What is your favorite Jaguars moment?
The entire home game experience for the 2023 season was incredible with all those comebacks, but one game was unlike anything I've ever experienced. January 14, 2023 - our playoff game against the Chargers. I threw a tailgate for a bunch of friends, made 60+ pork belly tacos to feed everyone and partied it up until game time. The game was freezing cold and we were getting smoked. I was texting my girlfriend at the time that I was ready to leave. I told myself if we didn't score on the final drive of the half I was done and ready to pack it in. Trevor got it done, gave me faith and I witnessed the greatest comeback and game I've ever seen live. I still remember celebrating in the stands and smoking cigars with my friends after the game. That experience solidified my fandom for life.
What do you gain from attending a game instead of watching it on tv?
Atmosphere and emotion, no doubt. But you also connect to fellow fans and the city in a way that's hard to explain. You just feel like you're part of the team and city as a whole.
What would you tell someone who is considering purchasing season tickets?
If you love Jacksonville and you're a sports fan, why wouldn't you? The Season Ticket Member team is great and the perks connect you to the team even more.
What is on your Jaguars bucket list?
The same thing on every fan's bucket list. See the Jags win a Super Bowl so we can party in downtown Duuuuvvvvaaaalllll.
