Tell us about yourself and your connection to Jacksonville/the Jaguars:

Moved to Jax in 1984. I went to a few Jacksonville Bulls USFL games and really got hooked. I went to all the preseason NFL games in town over the years as we tried to prove we were worthy of a franchise. Once we were in the running in 1993, I knew that if we were awarded a team, I would be all in. That's exactly what happened. 31 years later and I've only missed a couple of games. I try to attend one road game every year.

I had food poisoning once in the 90's that required hospitalization and I persuaded the hospital to release me. It was late in the season and we were in a playoff push. I promised not to go to the game and so I was released. Well guess who I ran into on the upper deck concourse? The very nurse that had granted that request. We both smiled, she gave me a stern look and said, "Take it easy."

Do you have any gameday rituals?

Tailgating has always been a large part of game day. I originally parked in the "Music Shed" with a friend that had a camper and those are some of the best memories. With that no longer an option, I have parked and tailgated all over the area. We have a good group that changes over the years, but we get there early and stay late. It is a day long experience and rarely missed.

What's your favorite part of gameday?

It used to be the national anthem and flyover because we were so bad for so long. Now I would say it's watching the game live and talking to fellow ticket holders that I only see at the games. Making new memories with my wife and daughter. It's really the whole thing as an experience, win or lose.

What is your favorite Jaguars moment?

There were many back in the day, but I have to say it was the win over the Chargers in the 2022 playoffs. That was a comeback for the ages. I'm one of the ones that stays regardless of the score, and it really paid off that day. That also sparked a spontaneous trip to Kansas City that was oh so close to a win. Giving Cowboy fans the business that same year was sooo satisfying. It's a close second just because their fans are so obnoxious.

What do you gain from attending a game instead of watching it on tv?

I have to high five people during the game, the more the merrier. Yes, I do that at home and bars as well, but at the game is just a different level of excitement. When we are winning everything else is just better. The beer is colder, the food is better, it's just better.

What would you tell someone who is considering purchasing season tickets?

When the team is competitive, it's a real good value.

What is on your Jaguars bucket list?

Jaguars in the Super Bowl and to attend a London Game.
