Jaguars Sign Angulo

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed veteran free agent tight end Richard Angulo to a contract today and waived rookie tight end Dan Murray, who was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Connecticut in April.

Angulo, 26, spent the final five weeks of the 2006 season on the practice squad with the Chicago Bears after signing on November 28. The 6-8, 283-pounder was originally drafted by St. Louis in the seventh round of the 2003 NFL Draft out of Western New Mexico. He saw action in six games as a rookie in 2003 before being placed on injured reserve for all of 2004 with a preseason injury. The third-year veteran signed with Minnesota in 2005 and caught one pass for 11 yards in two games.
