The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed safety Johndale Carty, who spent the last four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons after being drafted in the fourth round.
Carty, 25, has played in 61 games, making three starts at safety and missing only three games in four seasons (none in 2001 and '02). He is a special teams leader, making 42 tackles in four years, and he has 38 tackles and two interceptions on defense. The 6-0, 196-pound Carty was All-Conference at Utah State and is a native of Hialeah, Fla.
The Jaguars' roster is now at 88 players.
