The Jacksonville Jaguars made two roster moves today, signing veteran free agent placekicker Aaron Elling and waiving rookie free agent wide receiver Chris Jackson.
Elling, 29, has spent time with Miami, Seattle, Minnesota, Baltimore and Atlanta before signing with the Jaguars. The 6-2, 201-pound placekicker was waived by the Falcons on Aug. 7. In his four year career, he has played in 33 career games and has converted 19 of 28 field goals and all 50 extra points. He was originally signed by Miami in 2001 as an undrafted rookie free agent. He will wear jersey No. 4.
