The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed guard Mark Nori to take the roster spot of Michael Cheever, who was placed on injured reserve yesterday because of a back injury.
Nori, 23, spent the first 15 weeks of the season on the Pittsburgh Steeler's practice squad after being signed as an undrafted rookie and then was wiaved in the final cuts on August 24. He was recruited to Boston College by Tom Coughlin and played some as a freshman in 1993. He started at right guard from 1994 to '96, being named All-Big East as a senior. Nori is a native of Germantown, Pa.
