The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed first-year free agent linebacker Kenny Jackson, who had been waived by Cincinnati on July 12 after signing with the Bengals on Dec. 29, 2003.
Jackson, 27, was allocated to NFL Europe by the Bengals and played in 10 games for the Amsterdam Admirals this spring. The 6-2, 253-pound linebacker tallied 20 tackles (17 solo), one interception, one pass defensed and three special teams tackles. Jackson was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by Baltimore in 2001 out of Nevada, but was waived in training camp. He spent two weeks on the Carolina Panthers' practice squad in 2002 and was out of football in 2003. He will wear jersey No. 59.
