The Jacksonville Jaguars claimed offensive lineman Craig Osika off waivers from Cleveland and waived rookie guard Julius Franklin.
Osika, 25, spent the previous two seasons in Cleveland before being waived on Wednesday. The 6-3, 318-pounder was originally signed by San Diego as an undrafted rookie free agent on April 26, 2002 out of Indiana. He has also spent time with San Francisco and played with Amsterdam Admirals of the NFL Europe League in the spring of 2003.
Franklin, 23, was a four-year starter at offensive tackle at Bethune-Cookman. The 6-3, 316-pound lineman earned All-Conference honors as a junior while not allowing any sacks in a two-year period. He was originally signed by the Jaguars on May 6 as an undrafted rookie free agent.
