The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed linebacker Erik Storz to their practice squad. He fills the spot on the five-man practice squad that opened yesterday when Reggie Lowe was activated to the active roster after James Hamilton was placed on injured reserve.
Storz, 23, was with the Jaguars in the preseason. He was signed on August 19 and waived six days later in the cut to 60 players. He was originally signed as an undrafted rookie by the Cincinnati Bengals and waived on July 25. Storz was recruited by Tom Coughlin in 1993 to Boston College, where he was the 1997 Big East leader in sacks (13), tying Mike Mamula's school record. He is from Rockaway, N.J.
